A CUPOLEX® concrete cast-in-place Soil Cell Pavement is a green infrastructure facility designed to provide superior structural integrity of the pavement and growing media for trees.
Unlike other systems, the depths are completely customized, the pavement is not supported by soil and there is an aerated void beneath the pavement and soil. Soil Cells can also be designed with stormwater management benefits.

Grade-Supported Concrete Floors
CUPOLEX® offers value engineering and cost-effective structural design solutions for grade-supported concrete floors. Our unique concrete dome methodology allows the concrete to perform under compression and not in tension, while providing a void under the slab. Sub-slab voids provide moisture barriers and have venting potential.
Foundation-Supported Structural Concrete Floors
CUPOLEX® offers floor slabs that can be fully or partially suspended on foundation piles, stem walls or grade beams. Additional reinforced internal ribs are then used in the slab by introducing PONTEX®, the structural CUPOLEX® accessory, to provide a structure capable of spanning between foundations or piles.
Structural Post-Tensioned Reinforced Concrete Slab-on-Grade
CUPOLEX® post-tensioned reinforced slab foundations avoid the buildup of the potentially damaging forces from expansive soils. CUPOLEX® slabs foundations can be designed to accommodate any ground movement that is anticipated.
Raised Concrete Floors for Lightweight Fill Replacement
CUPOEX® provides value engineering and cost-effective structural design solutions for replacing expensive and time-consuming foam insulation and EPS blocks typically used for creating floating concrete slabs when weight limit is a factor on supporting structural concrete deck slabs.
CUPOLEX® concrete raised floors are designed to reduce the “dead load” on top of structural decks and eliminates the need for costly design analysis and construction methods associated with higher strength, load bearing structures.
Raised Concrete Floors for Structural Fill Replacement
We provide solutions for replacing expensive and time-consuming engineering of structural fill required to support slab-on-grades. Sites with poor soil may be subject to an expensive haul-off and/or expensive import of material. Our solution involves removal of poor quality soil to lower the site and support a raised slab-on-grade.
Concrete Floors for Refrigerated Buildings
CUPOLEX® provides engineered floor systems for freezer warehouse floors and ground heave solutions. Our engineered CUPOLEX® floors are passively or mechanically heated to prevent frost formation. This alleviates the structural concerns associated with frost heave on freezer floors and also minimizes the parasitic heat gain to the refrigerated space.
Concrete Floors for Industrial Warehouses
CUPOLEX® floors specifically for industrial applications are designed for very high industrial type distributed or concentrated racking loads and forklift loads can be accommodated. Non saw cut and super-flat floors can be designed and screed equipment can be used with the CUPOLEX® formwork.
